The project is really starting to take shape as 2008 is fast approaching. Last week the scaffolding was pealed away to reveal the exciting future of the Bull.
As the external parts of the building are finishing contractors appear daily to work through the winter days in order to finish the project on time.
The windows and conservatory for the private dining room have been fitted and you can really start to get a feel for the experiences and memories our guests will have from dining with us.
Arriving at work this morning there was a huge crane towering above the Hotel, which has been assisting with the installation of the air-conditioning units for the new kitchen, restaurant and bedroom area’s. The electricians have started to install the necessary lighting, electrical points, internet connections, and fire cabling. Next week Arjen, the site foreman, has informed me that they are planning on starting on the plastering.
Once the builders have completed the works, the gardeners will start to develop the picturesque sceneries in the grounds, allowing the guests to gain the added tranquillity of dining at the Bull.
The staff are all excited, and starting to prepare for the opening date. The new focus will enable the Food and Beverage team to review procedures & standards. By the beginning of next year the new wing should be thriving with guests.
