I started my hotel career approximately four and a half years ago in Kensington. I was working part time whilst at collage and knew straight away that this was the right industry for me. Since then my journey has taken me far and wide. From the glitz and glamour of Chelsea to the hustle and bustle of busy Croydon, and as each day passes I feel that I grow from strength to strength.

This is where I decided to go back to where it all began. After being given the opportunity to work with such a well established hotel I jumped at the chance. Having worked for a previous hotel for four and a half years I thought that The Rembrandt would be a great place to take my career further.

Although I have not been at The Rembrandt long the staff at the Hotel have gone to great lengths to make me feel welcome and personally I already feel at home. I wondered what would bring me back to Kensington but I realised in my first week how much I missed the culture, the art and history that the surrounding areas has to offer. Here at The Rembrandt we have all three on our doorstep and we are only a stone’s throw away form some of London’s major tourist attractions.

As I have grown up in Chelsea, not only is it great to work down the road but I also know what the area has to offer. Now I have the opportunity to meet people who are directly involved with the local amenities. I am yet to visit the latest attractions at the Natural History Museum and the Victoria & Albert but as it is only across the road, I have no excuse not to!

Once all the sights have been visited it is then time to hit the shops. It’s a long walk to the top of Knightsbridge and I don’t think I can do it without buying something! If you manage to resist the temptations of shopping then you will not be disappointed with the magnificent window displays the shops have to offer, especially Harrods.

Knightsbridge has everything for business and leisure travellers. Some of the capitals top restaurants are in this borough. If you can not find what you are looking for then I would be very surprised but saying that the West End is only a short cab ride away.
