The Rembrandt Christmas Extravaganza in 2008!

Lights Camera Action!!!! The Rembrandt’s annual Christmas party was held on the 1st February 2008! The 60’s theme was definitely in full swing, with wigs, short dresses, bright clothes and bubbles to boot! You might be wondering Christmas party in Feb? Well since we were pretty much rushed off our feet during Christmas, planning events for clients, there was no time for our own celebration until now.

It was a glorious evening filled with dancing to music - with a 60’s vibe, eating excellent cuisine prepared by our very own chefs and wonderful prizes given away in our tombola and raffle. Every member of staff had a chance to win great prizes like weekend breaks and electrical appliances. This encouraged everyone to buy tickets to be in with a chance to grab on to a fabulous prize. The crowd pleaser of the night, was a dance routine put on by our very own Rembrandt Dance Troupe! This included our Group Operations Manager and many individuals from Reservations, Control, HR, Meeting & Events, Food & Beverage and Aquilla Health Spa! Astrid Lopez, our Reservations Co-ordinator, choreographed the sizzling dance with well co-orientated steps, to Ray Charles “Hit the Road Jack”. It was a performance not to be missed! The show “Strictly Come Dancing” would want to recruit us asap! (You can tell I was apart of the group!). As an encore both Astrid and Sammy, from our Control department, had also prepared a special dance of their own, which again was really entertaining for all.

The night was even more special since it had more than one purpose. There was also an award ceremony conducted by the Group HR Manager & The Remrbandt's Personnel & Training Manager to recognise loyalty and commitment by employees who have been with us between 5 to 15 years and a wonderful achievement of 25 years service. There was also the announcement and award given to the Employee of the Year, WELL DONE Maria Oros!

The bitter sweet part of the night was saying good-bye to our Operations Finance Manager Robert Price. Although he has not left the Sarova family, he has left the Rembrandt. We wish him all the best as General Manager of The Bull Hotel. Without a doubt the night was indeed a celebration of all the hard work that Rembrandt staff has offered over the past year. There commendable efforts and continuous 4* star service standards should be experienced.

Did our Christmas Party sound like fun? Then make sure you enquire to have your's here this year! We have first hand knowledge of planning our very own party and would love to offer you some advice.
